DriveTime
The Google DriveTime Script takes a input text file of zip code pairs (or complete addresses) and runs them against the Google Maps web page and extracts driving distance and/or commute time as calculated by Google.
The script will then place that data in an output file. Below are examples of the input file and output file as geneated.
This script is a great example of web or screen scraping at its' best. It currently is written in VBScript running on any Windows Operating System but can easily be rewritten (upon request) to almost any platform
running in any modern technology.
